1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms and conditions apply to:

  1. Toolbase ("the Service"), a web-based MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration platform and app store developed by Toolbase

By accessing, registering for, or using Toolbase, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

These Terms and Conditions apply specifically to the Toolbase web platform. Other Toolbase products or services may have separate terms and conditions.

2. Service Description

Toolbase is a web-based MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration platform and app store that allows individuals and teams to:

  • Discover and integrate MCP tools and services
  • Manage AI tool configurations and connections
  • Access a curated marketplace of integrations
  • Collaborate on team-based integration setups
  • Configure and deploy MCP servers and tools

3. Account Registration and Use

Account Creation

To use Toolbase, you must:

  • Create an account through our authentication system
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)

Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Upload malicious code or content that could harm the platform
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Share your account credentials with others

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in harmful activities.

4. Subscription and Payments

Service Tiers

Toolbase offers multiple service tiers:

  • Free Tier: Basic access to the platform with limited features
  • Paid Subscriptions: Enhanced features, increased usage limits, and premium integrations
  • Team Plans: Collaboration features and team management tools

Payment Terms

  • Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
  • Payment terms, renewal policies, and refunds will be outlined at checkout
  • Toolbase reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified

Usage Limits

  • Free tier users may have usage limitations on integrations and configurations
  • Paid subscribers receive increased limits based on their subscription level
  • Usage overage policies will be clearly communicated

5. Open Source Version

Toolbase also offers an open source version with different terms:

  • The open source version is available under its own separate license
  • Open source users are not bound by subscription terms
  • Support and features may differ between open source and hosted versions
  • Community contributions to the open source version are welcome

6. Third-Party Services

Authentication

  • We use Clerk for authentication and user account management
  • Clerk processes login credentials and account-related data
  • Your use of authentication services is subject to Clerk's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Payment Processing

  • Payments for Toolbase subscriptions are processed through third-party payment providers
  • Your transactions are subject to their respective terms and privacy policies

Analytics

  • We use PostHog and Fathom Analytics for product analytics and usage tracking
  • These services help us understand user behavior and improve the platform
  • Analytics data is collected in accordance with our privacy policy
  • Your use is subject to PostHog's Terms of Service and Fathom's Terms of Service

MCP Integrations

  • Toolbase connects to various third-party MCP servers and services
  • Each integration may have its own terms of service and privacy policy
  • You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party services you connect through Toolbase
  • We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or content of third-party integrations

7. Analytics and Data Collection

  • Toolbase collects usage data and analytics to improve the platform
  • We track feature usage, performance metrics, and user interactions
  • Data collection includes configuration usage and connector metrics
  • Personal information is handled according to our privacy policy
  • You can opt out of certain analytics through your account settings
  • PostHog and Fathom Analytics are used for product analytics and website traffic analysis

8. User Content and Data

Your Configurations

  • You retain ownership of your integration configurations and settings
  • We store your configurations to provide the service
  • You can export or delete your configurations at any time
  • We may use aggregated, anonymized data for product improvement

Data Security

  • We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data
  • However, no system is 100% secure, and you use the service at your own risk
  • We are not liable for data breaches caused by third-party integrations
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your connected services

Data Retention

  • We retain your account data while your account is active
  • Deleted accounts and configurations may be retained for a limited period for legal or technical reasons
  • You can request data deletion by contacting us

9. Warranties and Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties

Toolbase is provided "AS IS" without warranty. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • All integrations will function as expected
  • Third-party services will remain available
  • Issues will be resolved within any specific timeframe

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Toolbase is not liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Third-party integration failures or data breaches
  • Damages resulting from your use of connected services

Maximum Liability

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes and Modifications

Toolbase reserves the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the Service or any features
  • Update these Terms and Conditions with reasonable notice
  • Change pricing, features, or service terms
  • Add or remove third-party integrations

Notification of Changes

  • We will notify users of material changes to these terms
  • Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance
